In the interest of full disclosure, Greg Sullivan is my improv guru. There's a reason for this! I started improv with him. As often happens in life, we get pulled in other directions which led me to other classes. Those other classes never really rose to the level of fun we all had in Greg's class. That's because he has a way of packaging and dispensing the rules of improv that is both simple and sticky. Now these rules are so conveniently organized in this book. This book is definitely the best addition to anyone's improv and acting library.As for the shows, needless to say I've been in many of Greg's shows. They, too, are always fun. Not only for us improvisers, but for the audience. Several times, audience members have said our show was the most fun they had all year. With this book, anyone can put on an amazing improv show...which makes me a wee bit envious.

Greg Sullivan's Improv Show Book is a great read for any improv arttist. As a student of Greg Sullivan's who as studied with him for many years, I've learned a great deal about the art of improvisation and highly recommend his book. He is a great teacher, and his book is a definite must read for any improv artist.
This book is perfect for anyone from beginner through improviser with experience planning to do a show. It explains some important aspects of technique in a very helpful way (without getting bogged down in rigid rules) and about a dozen games or scenes that can comprise a wonderful improv show that audiences will thoroughly enjoy. I know that for a fact because I was in an improv troupe with Greg Sullivan, and we did a few shows that went spectacularly well. He really knows his stuff!!! And its shear fun!!!

A wonderful, thoughtful, concise, well-written, "how to" Improv book, that covers topics and areas of production the beginner would never think of. A good, simple, informative read. I highly recommend it.
